Rick,

I have never gone to the Muddy Charles Pub? Where is it, Cambridge? The wealther is getting nicer up here, and we have almost fully recovered from that awesome storm. What did you study at MIT? Great place. I have friends there and ride by everyday on my wayinto Boston from Somerville.

A few comments on the what appear to be demographic trends in the spread of AIDS in the Northeast, per my conversation with the lady I referred to in my last post. There appears to be a decline in the spread of AIDS in the gay community, as education, awareness, and preventive measures have been quite effective with this group. Intravenous drug users appear to continue to be vulnerable. this population is difficult to reach with the above mentioned preventive approach. The group that appears to be most vulnerbale right now is young heterosexual females, particularly hispanic and black youth. Many young men's attitude toward condom use is one of little regard. This is making many women quite vulnerable - young men often never even consider condom use. There sort of "male pride" is at stake here. This is even more marked in instances when the young man is old than the female. Anyway, just a few thoughts - pardon the generalization.
