Heartsoft Appoints Former Learning Company Sales Executive as Vice President of Marketing and Sales TULSA, Oklahoma, Oct 29, 1999--Heartsoft, Inc., publisher of early-learning educational and internet-based software products has named Nita Seng, previously Director of Sales for The Learning Company, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Heartsoft Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Benjamin Shell, made the announcement today.
In her new capacity, Seng will oversee a wide array of exciting sales, advertising, and marketing activities as Heartsoft moves into the second phase of its aggressive growth strategy which began earlier this year.
Seng brings to her new position at Heartsoft over 14 years of educational sales management experience and a proven track record in the areas of direct sales, marketing, product positioning, and new business development. Most recently, she served as the Director of Sales for the education division of The Learning Company (NYSE: MAT) and was directly responsible for annual sales in excess of $40 million consisting of branded software titles from The Learning Company, Broderbund, Mindscape, Creative Wonders, Grolier, and MECC to education accounts in the United States and Canada.
Prior to The Learning Company, she was responsible for education sales in the south east United States for Broderbund which was acquired by The Learning Company in 1998. Additionally, Ms. Seng has over 12 years experience managing education sales divisions for resellers in the south east United States, including Apple Education Sales Agents.

In other news items, the company announced that it would begin an Internet-based advertising campaign over the weekend regarding its new secure Internet browser for children.
Further, the company stated that upon the advice of counsel and pursuant to the OTC Bulletin Board© Modified Eligibility Rule Phase-In Schedule issued by the NASD on August 25, 1999, it would utilize the additional 15 days granted under the modified eligibility rule to conduct a final review with financial auditors of certain licensing income matters which could have a significant, positive impact on the company?s financial statement. Previously the company reported that it would file Form 10-KSB on or before October 29, 1999.
