Thanks for sharing that George! As Stew just said, he's glad you asked and so am I, and I'm thankful that President Boulay is gracious to take the time to respond.
I too have been looking for results George. In that vein, I think Rick did try to address your question or at least put it in a time frame perspective:
Prez Boulay: Our policy is to release material news as soon as it becomes available. Of course, in the real world it does take time to evaluate, format, tabulate and write up the technical information so there can be a delay of up to a day depending on the time of day the material information is received by management. We like to release after the market closes for maximum dissemination before the next trading session and in most cases the news can wait a few hours to ensure fair distribution.
During the first part of the month we indicated to anyone who asked that we would publish assay results as soon as they were received and we did, on October 5th and 7th . That's about three weeks ago and we are still inside the "cycle" normally required to generate and publish another set of results. There is a certain rhythm to what we do and we can't do much to accelerate it. Personally, I think we are moving very fast.
Your point is that it has been indicated that we could expect material news to be available sooner. I think Rick's point was that such things are out of their control. To which you could say, then avoid forecasts. ;) The point is well made and founded.
One thing I have learned over the years of following programs like this is that any of my precise expectations are rarely met and that patience is generally a fine prescription. Another important point is that sometimes the technical team receives said 'results' (not necessarily deemed "material") to act on in their exploration/ interpretation program, but not us the public, until later when they are compounded for a significant (and apparently co$tly) release. This can cause confusion when "receiving results" is discussed (I speak from experience ;).
To MY knowledge, Marum is extraordinarily busy, overstocked with samples and on the charge on the exploration front. Guess it's the diff. between feeding the market vs. taking strategic action in the field and lab. - I rest assured in this. Things are a-happenin'!
Have a great day, George and Stew and all! -j :> |
