The FDA process is flawed. The structure of the entire health delivery service is ludicrous. It will become totally more completely nuts as the patents get free legal advise to sue and the government provides more money to pay insurance.

Medical Research and Technology has evolved so quickly Diagnostic and treatments that all this angst as to how we are going to afford it completes the folly of the present course. Machines that would cost $200.000 if make in quantity sell for $1,5 because so few units are made because the test are so expensive. We pay a Hospital President $600,000 a year to play golf with the Judge who will rule in his favor when some one dies for lack of a test.

Problem one is the tax deduction for medical insurance. It has created a huge pool of people who in the past who did not care whet anything cost.

Problem Two is the Entrenched Medical establishment that has lots of old procedures they would like to continue to get paid for.

If it cost $1,000,000 to set up a machine such as a MRI or EBCT and you run 10,000 patents a year through it, that?s $100 per patient. If the Machine has a life of 20 years now we are down to $5 per patient.

A MRI Test still cost $1200 in some places. I know a young woman who is blind because her Doctor was afraid to order a MRI because of the cost

The whole system stinks.
