Bill, that song simply says that christians should have the same rights as other people. That is all Carmen is advocating.

It's a parable about how outraged the Founding fathers would be at what we have done with the constitution.
That's all. It's not advocating theoacracy. In fact he would vote against that becasue he said his beleifs about God are not in he majority at all. He is for the state establishing no religion.

That's why my teeenagers are not hasstled when they carry their bibles to school or mention Jesus or the bible in class. When they pray in class, or around the flagpole.
In fact it's against the law for a teacher to belittle a child when they bring religious background into class discussions.
they can the Moslem, Christian or Jewish or Hindu and they should be allowed free speech in class and the tone should be set so that the teacher and the other students allow that free speech

We build a persons relationship with the father. God can do the rest.
In our church I sit next to bank presidents, bikers, prostitues, drug addicts, etc. etc.
Anyone is welcome and you dress like you want.
By the way, we dance in the service at our church so dancing is permitted<g> We don't focus on the don't... We focus on the truths in God's Word.
God can do alot with people. Soon drug addicts or delivered, prostitutes get a different job, and bank presidents may have more compassion<g>
We are not religious we just Love God with all our hearts.
