Just out...

The American Medical Association is planning a for-profit Web site called medem.com that will offer patients direct and secure links to physicians who will advise them about their medical problems.

This might end up being very good news for Medsite.com Since Medsite.com does not offer any medical advice or consultation this site will not be competition for Medsite.com. This AMA site will draw customers away from Healtheon.com, and Intellihealth.com who offer similar consulting services.

The goods news - the AMA is a partner of Medsite.com
medsite.com

On November 3, 1998, the AMA web site will be linked with MedBookStore.com providing an array of benefits for AMA members
medsite.com

On the new medem.com site they says

Medical Shopping
Consumers/patients will be provided the opportunity to easily access and purchase various medical and pharmaceutical products, including books and educational materials created by participating medical societies, and also made available through various partnerships established with e-commerce vendors.

What do you want to bet that the "made available through various partnerships" means Medsite.com. This could mean a big boost for sales and means further exposure. This just keeps getting better and better <ggg>

I bought more JDX today after seening this news.

Best Regards
KEITH
