Joe:

Chiros points out that Microsoft has market cap of 72 billion on revenues of 2 billion/year. If Iomega makes the next floppy standard, Iomega can easily make 1 billion dollars net (if not more) with recurring revenue/earnings guaraanteed.

As far as Western Digital, thanks for the information. I don't know what their 3" product will be. Could be Winchester technology, which would put it up against Iomega's Jaz drive, or possibly they do have something to go up against the Zip. Many questions: how far is the production from production? What is the ramp up time? Is it OEM only? What's part sourcing like? What's the "migration path," as far as capacity and speed? What are OEM costs...you get the picture. Also, when was the last time you walked into Costco and bought a "Western digital" consumer product? Hope they come up with a better name then "LS-120."

Also, have you checked out the five page Iomega ad in Newsweek? And also, now that you covered 1/3, go out and get a Zip so you at least know what you're up against. I ain't kidding.

Best,
Mgsam
