Somebody asked earlier about Walsh's statement that Freeport didn't drill deep enough. That may be true but the holes Freeport did drill are twinned and to similar depth as some of bre-x holes with good reuslts. This is why it's so surprising.

Somebody else asked the assay method Freeport used. I believe they used both fire assay and cyanide leaching.

You can check both of these comments in Bre-x news release of Freeport's results on Mar. 26 (I think or there about).

It's about time Dr. Kavanugh (sp?) spoke up. I was wondering if all the directors still supported Walsh. He still didn't quite explain how Freeport got such bad results even though they really wanted to find gold.

I have seen David Walsh interviewed on TV and read several newspaper interviews (Globe's verbatium and Calgary Herald). IMO, he does not strike me as a charismatic CEO who knows what is going on. I can see him being duped if this does turn out to be a scam. He has said many things (like bre-x didn't really own 90% of Busang) and been reactive rather than proactive too often to show that he is out of his league. My faith now is in Felderhof.

Tom Cat: you have raised some valid questions that Walsh should be busting his butt to try to answer.
