Louis,
Oh my goodness. Haven't seen your screen name in some time since I left the AOL boards.
Anyways, don't make a big deal about KIDE's performance. I've been watching this stock intraday for more than a month.
First of all, this stock does NOT trade with the market. The market was down a couple weeks ago, and KIDE was up every single day. Conversely, I've seen it down before when the market was up.
Second, nice analysis though. $68 sounds good. And I would love to get that price to buy more stock/calls as I traded out of it and lost some points.
Third, this stock usually undergoes congestion and basing after runs like this. Not uncommon. And it's usually pretty solid basing that occurs since the shareholders here are pretty loyal. Although, KIDE picked up daytraders recently no doubt. They will be flushed out during the congestion.
Fourth, yes much of the performance is priced in. But the thing is, the performance probably won't disappoint. Pokemon is huge. I wanted to buy a 1st Basic set, and I should have on EBAY for $600. Now it is going for well over $1000 to get 102 measly cards. Amazons top sellers toy section for the age 7-9 (?) has been increasing w/ Pokemon products. I think they account for at least 12 of the 2 products.
Finally, the biggie. Have you calculated in the earnings from the movie? They will be "substantial and dramatic" to quote the CEO. And I believe him. You see PIXR's earnings lately. DVD sales exploded. Pokemon still has video, DVD, and the 2nd movie already slated. Calculate that into your analysis, because if you don't your missing a chunk of the big picture. |
