What has the Canadian Government done to help Bre-X specifically
concerning Bre-X offices in Calgary being unable to contact Mr John
Felderhof, Vice-Chairman of Bre-X, named Canada's Prospector of the Year by both the Northern Miner and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, who is currently surrounded by Indonesian military personnel at the Bre-X's property in Busang, Indonesia?

According to press reports the Canadian Government is involving
themselves in the Bre-X situation in Indonesia.

Does anyone know the answers to these questions :

1 What is the purpose of the Canadian Government's involvement in Bre-X's situation in Indonesia?

2 Who requested that the Canadian Government get involved in Bre-x's
situation in Indonesia?

3 What department of the Canadian Government is geting involved in
Bre-X's situation in Indonesia?

4 What will be the mandate of the Department of the Canadian Government that gets involved in Bre-X's situation in Indonesia?

5 Has the Canadian Government ever received a request from Bre-X for
assistance concerning Bre-X's situation in Indonesia?

6 If so, what kind of assistance did Bre-X request, was the Canadian
Government forthcoming in providing assistance, and what kind of
assistance did Bre-X actually receive from the Canadian Government?

7 What steps is the Canadian Government presently taking to ensure the
protection and safety of Canadian Bre-X employees, and for that matter, all the employees of Bre-X, a Canadian Company, regardless of their nationality that are currently working in Indonesia?

7 Has the Canadian Government meet with officials of the Phillipines and the Indonesian Government to ensure the safety and protection of Bre-X employees currently at work in Indonesia?

8 If so, what committments did the Canadian Government receive and
specifically which officials made these committments?

8 Has the Canadian government ever been approached by other mining
companies concerning Bre-X's situation in Indonesia?

9 If so, who were these other mining companies, what was the nature of
their requests, and what action has the Canadian Government ever taken to accommodate any of these requests?

10 Is the Canadian Government even aware of the military situation that has developed at Busang, Indonesia and what overtures has the Canadian Government made to ensure that a peaceful resolution to whatever the problems are at Busang will be achieved?
