To Bob, or any prudent investor who also uses options:
I sold my Nov calls with a 45% profit, perfectly happy with that in 2 weeks, because I dont like to "not give enough time" for ups and downs.
But I have Jan calls and I cant decide what to do: we are now approaching (if we arent actually in) the big upward time in the market. Thats a pro.(for keeping the calls until Jan)
Q is great Thats a pro.
But earnings is next week and often it is better not to hold through earnings. Thats a con.
But look at jdsu...they went UP substantially after earnings.
Any ideas and reasons for selling/keeping Jan calls for a couple more months?
