researcher at McGill University believes that the yr 2001 Cdn concensus will show that French will become Canada's 3rd language and the 2nd will be Chinese.

hmmm. You think there is any risk the Chinese-Canadians could start arguing for tri-lingual signs and greater autonomy for British Columbia? ;)
