Cirruslvr,

<Here is some info I found about Intel and .13/300mm -

""Fab 16" won't come online until 2002, when it will produce chips on 300mm wafers in the advanced 0.13 micron process, an Intel spokesman said."

Fab 16 in Fort Worth, TX was supposed to open up THIS year, according to this News.com article. Chalk up another missed schedule for Intel in 1999.>

This is one area where one should not underestimate Intel. I am pretty sure that they will begin their ramp of 0.13 (hundreds of thousands of units) in H2 2000 (in time for back to school season I hear) with volumes slated for early 2001. That sounds very similar to the CuMine launch, doesn't it? Very little margin for error - but they are going for it.
