Kevin: Take a look at size of your Windows Swap File

Win 3.1 does not have a dynamic swap file and is thus set by software. If your hard disk is/was full, or close to it, the swap file will be small.

This greatly inhibits the performance capabilities of Win 3.1

Also run mem /c at dos > and write down what it says is using memory . You are correct that Win 3.1 itself does not use 14 mb
