OT It depends on your tax situation.
A wise investor told me Don't let the tax "tail" wag the investment "dog". Getting in and out of stocks is complicated enough. You only pay taxes if you make money and most schemes that reduce your taxes end up reducing your gain. It's worth considering if you are making a major change to your portfolio, but for normal accumulation it is an unnecessary distraction.
