Thanks Ambrym Man, for the intraday quote links, I'll have to scope them out. I received an email from a lurker on this thread who offered up some info on BD and the effect of its suit on Cellpro--quite harmful (from $20 to $6) even though eventual settlement was just $2.3 million. However, QDEL obviously has much less room to fall in $ terms. I am also struck by the strong reactions to what I perceive as small moves--I realize that in percentage terms that a 3/16 is almost 19 percent but the bid/asks are often more than that on many small stocks. In the spirit of full disclosure, I only own 100 shares so a total bankruptcy does not kill me, if I had more shares maybe I'd cringe more. Try investing in LSI (which I do heartilly recommend), it routinely goes up and down between 1 and 3 bucks a day! Overall, I dont want to minimize the regrettable turn of events or its effect on others, but I still feel that this will work out okay--if the tests dont sell, what can they get from their suit. If they sell well, well we have a higher expense ratio but still more money afterall, right?
