Donner continues Lac Rocher exploration Donner Minerals Ltd DML Shares issued 31,689,657 Oct 29 close $0.11 Fri 29 Oct 99 News Release Mr. Harvey Keats reports Initial fieldwork on the Lac Rocher, Que., field program, began in June, 1999, and carried out by Falconbridge, is now complete and reports have been received and reviewed by management of the company. Numerous geophysical anomalies were in the field and several were explained by a combination of geological mapping, prospecting, stripping and shallow trenching. None of the anomalies are explained by economic mineralization, however numerous anomalies in favourable geological settings remain unexplained and require detailed HLEM or UTEM ground geophysical follow-up and diamond drilling. Falconbridge has recommended a follow-up program totalling $670,000, consisting of line-cutting, detailed HLEM and UTEM geophysical surveys and 2,400 metres of diamond drilling. The line-cutting and ground geophysical program will begin shortly and diamond drilling is contemplated early in the New Year. Donner, through alliances with two of the world's largest mining companies, is one of the largest claim holders in the Lac Rocher region of Quebec with 1,600 mineral claims totalling approximately 25,000 hectares. Both the corporation and Falconbridge believe in the significance of economic mineralization discovered by Nuinsco Resources Limited and its implications for an economic discovery in the area.
