Paul, good article about the 820/Rambus situation.

All of these computers will contain a motherboard with only two memory slots. Earlier Rambus/820 motherboards
contained three memory slots, which was the problem.


This makes it sound like it's a whole new motherboard, rather than the three RIMM slot one with the third one capped or trace-cut eliminated. If so, that was fast turnaround time on the new mobo.
