RE: "Do you have any thoughts about insider selling?"
Yes, when I ran across the data the other day, it worried me. I bought in at $13 and sold at $28 for a nice profit before CYMI dropped back into the teens. I then bought at $16 or so and am still holding. I'd rather not give up that $20 capital gain, but I really don't want to sell this year, because my 1999 capital gains liability is already obscene.
Generally, I'd rather see insider buying in the stocks I own than insider selling. For instance, when I ran across the CYMI data, I also noticed these data for a company I'm watching:

It is much more comforting (to me) to see management buying. As you point out, however, insider selling in the industry is nearly always heavier than buying. Perhaps that's because companies in the industry replace a portion of managements' salaries with options, and the management is really just "collecting their salaries" when they sell their shares.
You asked, "Did you know Akins' stock position gets larger every year despite selling stock? Probably not." You are correct. I didn't know, which is exactly the reason I asked. You also asked, "Weren't you the same person that asked about the status of the class action a few times even after having its status explained to you? Yes, you are." Correct again. As a shareholder, things like that concern me.
I find that there is a wealth of information available on SI, and if one can ignore the attitude of paranoid, rah-rah investors that one sometimes runs across, one can learn much.
Thanks for the information,
