Thanks Eric. I'll look into Waterhouse. $12 for a stock trade is reasonable if they execute OK. I know they have a lot of mutual funds also. Discover no load no fee applied as long as you held for a month. MSDW will charge you about $40 bucks if you don't hold for 3 months. The most Discover charged was $25 if you sold in less than 1 month. Yeah I get the impression that they don't want you if you do your own research. They have a lot of gall pointing out have they were rated #1 by Barrons a few times. That was LOMBARD & DISCOVER with $15 trades, not MSDW with $30 trades. Take care, Dick
