RE: EXDS versus AKAM. You pay EXDS to host your web server and provide you with services to keep it up and runnig, and so on, so your content is always available to users. You pay AKAM to flow your content through their servers around the world (which AKAM has placed at a variety of data centers including EXDS). These servers "cache" (i.e. store a copy of the most recent version of) the most frequently used pages so that they can be provided more rapidly to people who browse them on the Web because they don't have to be delivered from their source. This is a bit like how a movie is distributed to movie theaters all over the country so that everyone doesn't have to drive to LA to watch it. EXDS uses caching technology from INKT and resells it to customers as a value-added service called ReadyCache: exodus.net Another difference between EXDS and AKAM is that EXDS's market cap is based on explosive revenue growth while AKAM's market cap is based on an incredible level of hype by everyone involved and practically no earnings: Message 11687543
