CC--You miss my point. What the priests and others did to the Indians in the name of Christianity, only called themselves Christians. It is obvious to me that they either, had never read the words of Jesus, or ignored them in order to further their own profit motive agenda. A lot of things are done in the "name" of Christianity that are in no way indicative of true Christian way. As a Christian, I do not place myself above others. To do so would be going against the teachings of Jesus. Unfortunately, too many people do not follow the teachings of Jesus and only claim to be Christians so they can circulate the offering plates. They are a disgrace to the Faith. TD
