I respectfully submit that those priests and others *were* Christians. They had Biblical precedent for their actions. Just like at Ai, they baited the Indians into a fight and then lowered the boom. (George Patton called it the "rock soup" method of starting a fight.)
Are the Israelites of Joshua a disgrace to the Faith? Wouldn't you kill if God commanded you to?
