In fact, Intel will NOT specifically endorse RMBS, but rather the 800 standard which is open and free. RMBS is done, stick a fork in it.

Why pay some over priced royalty when the results of a non royalty based standard are very close? RMBS will only be used on servers where buyers will pay up for that at the margin performance differential. PC manufacturers are undr extreme margin pressure and RMBS's glitches have PO'd them. Stay tuned....
