Sun Microsystems Inc (SUNW) CABLE & WIRELESS and SUN MICROSYSTEMS said they would announce a co-operative alliance at a news conference on Monday. Scott McNealy, chairman and chief executive officer of Sun Microsystems, and Linus Cheung, chief excecutive of C&W HKT would address the conference, the companies said. The companies did not give details about the alliance. Sun Microsystems, a developer of workstations, servers and software for networking computing, is an equipment supplier of C&W HKT, a C&W HKT spokesperson said. (Reuters 06:34 AM ET 10/29/99)
