From Wi-LAN CEO post on Motley Fool: "Wi-LAN also invented multicode direct sequence spread spectrum which has recently gained popularity because of its adoption into third generation cellular telephone (3G) proposals. Multicode is the concept of enabling a single user to transmit multiple CDMA codes at the same time to increase the throughput." Anybody have any insight as to whether the "CDMA" referred to here implicates Qualcomm patents, and if so, whether a user of Wi-LAN multicode would have to pay royalties on top of royalties (i.e. to Wi-LAN and to Qualcomm for the CDMA code usage). boards.fool.com
