That Microsoft could make similar software does not render it a royalty game. In the past (if not in the present) there have been about 400 front office software companies. That there were so many of them didn't make it a royalty game. If it's a proprietary architecture that is also a discontinuous innovation as is the case with product from Citrix and its current or future competitors, it's definitely a gorilla game.
