Get 2 $20 network cards and a crossover cable. Install windows networking off the CD that came with the computer - if it isn't already installed.

Plug the cards into the PC and the cable into the cards.

You're done. Cost: Less than $50 dollars. Speed 10 or 100 mbit/sec.

More computers? Get a hub for $40. And, unlike the AnyPOINT system, you can now share a cable modem, an ISDN line, a DSL line, or other Internet connection.

If one of the computers is in a different room, you'll have to hide a wire behind a baseboard of run it through a wall.

You're still stuck with the leftover money though, do you like to go out to Dinner?
