Michael - Re: "Something that strikes me whenever I hear "Network adapter" is Windows NT, and the sight of confused, sweating LAN workers racing around fixing technical problems! :-)"

Intel's AnyPOINT is very easy to install and use.

Is it fool proof?

No- any Damn Fool can mess it up.

I personally found it a breeze to install - AND USE.

Re: "Middle America is still not that tech-savy. Silicon Valley maybe, Poulsbo, Wa. Definitely not. Shoot, I still can't get some of my friends to figure out how to use Netmeeting! "

If they are not tech-savy, they probably won't be needing that second computer nor have a need to do the hard disc drive transfer in the first place.

I always figure that computers are a learning experience - and learning often involves work.

For those that are NOT afraid of work, and DO put in the effort, they will be amply rewarded for those efforts.

For those who DON'T - or WON'T - put in the effort, and refuse to learn - they will drop back in the race to advance. And that's fine - because others will surge forward.

It all boils down to your motivation - or lack thereof.

Paul
