Listen, Charred, you don't know squat about value! You don't even recognize that the word itself (value) raises questions (unless, of course, you are here to intentionally promote your biases).
Of what kind of value are you speaking, and what kind of value does the interview speak of? Could these be two different things?
Among the many kinds of value are book value, salvage value, liquidation value, share market value, replacement cost, depreciated replacement cost, capitalized income value, tax value, insurance value, and others. These are most often entirely different numbers.
Don't compare you opinions of value with another until you are sure you are both talking about the same thing.
