GURUMAN, I saw the functioning news booth demo, and it was certainly one of the highlights of the show. Very impressive demonstration, and the crowds seemed to be impressed. Tektronix products used for this demo include the Newstar news automation system, Profile disk storage units, a Grass Valley switcher and DVE (digital video effects system), and of course misc. measurement equipment for on-air signal monitoring. The rest of the stuff needed that Tek doesn't make include monitors, cameras and an audio mixer. As far as new HDTV projects, I think all broadcast companies will have Tek on their short list of vendors. I think SONY is the big fish that Tek has to be very aggressive in competing with. Jay
