American Institute of Skin Care Inc. (AISC) was formed as a subsidiary of Wasatch Pharmaceutical Inc. to establish and operate skin care centers across the United States. The first clinic opened on February 1, 1994, and is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The second clinic opened in Provo, Utah in November, 1994. These clinics were set up as prototype clinics to establish the formal administrative and medical procedures.
Results from the operation of these clinics in small markets have been very exciting. Hundreds of patients have been treated with a success rate equal to the original studies, and many extreme cases of eczema, acne and psoriasis have been treated and eradicated.
The AISC has been in operation for the past five years, providing skin care to patients who have been unable to obtain relief from medical treatment offered by today's dermatologists or other doctors through their contemporary medical practice. It has been estimated that only 30% of those who seek treatment from doctors of medicine treating skin disorders obtain satisfactory relief. AISC is presently treating the distressing and vicious effects that acne, eczema, psoriasis and other skin disorders has on the 70% of the American public that are unable to gain relief through present accepted medical remedies. AISC using Wasatch products has eradicated the skin disorders in 90% of those individual patients from all over the western USA. AISC Skin Care Centers will be staffed by a licensed practitioner to offer the following advantages to the patient: 1. The patient will have the opportunity to be free of serious skin disorder without side effects for the first time. 2. The AISC physician will diagnose the patient and prescribe the treatment and ingredients to be applied by a licensed practitioner trained in the use of Wasatch products. 3. The practitioner will demonstrate the use of the product and review with the patient specific instructions contained in each kit to insure patients compliance with the regimen. 4. The patient will then use the products in their home which will require approximately five minutes of their time. The patient will return every two weeks to review progress with the practitioner who, with the physician, will make adjustments in the patient's therapy as required. After the disorder clears, the patient will return once a month to purchase a new product kit only. 5. Patients who do not clear within a reasonable amount of time, and have kept all appointments and followed instructions, will be referred back to the physician for further evaluation. Our experience has taught that failure rates are so low that this occurrence will be insignificant.
