Third world suppliers will do it manually. Another mechanical fix. No one is going to let the date cost them
money.

Good point. I guess we need to worry about the "second world" countries too, though. That reminds me, in Japan about 7 years ago, I bought some tickets for a bullet train in Tokyo, and the teller at the train station used an abacus to figure the change. Blew me away.
