See note above for results of the R&D. I'll grant you that Intel has spent
a lot more money on R&D than AMD, but the goal is creating new products, not
getting rid of cash.

Even Intel has given up on Rambus. Its performance is almost equal to PC133's,
isn't anywhere near the performance of DDR, and now that we're finally getting
to see some pricing on it, it appears that it will cost quite a bit more
than twice as much as either. The best way to increase the performance of your
system's memory is to get more of it. Rambus is no benefit.
