Yousef. I understand that. Add a new furnace in the corner and use the 12" cassettes carrying 8" wafers, and when it is running remove the old furnace and so on. Are the older continuous flow lines not amenable to this the way the free standing cassetts based machines are? That would be a problem. In a huge fab you would of course build the 12" line in another part, like another corner in Dresden.
I was mainly intending this concept for an incremental upgrade with no halt in production in a fab where there is not enough space to install a 12" without removing the 8" first.
