I have been waiting to see evidence of smart cards in the US market. Finally this weekend I noticed heavy advertising for American Express's new Blue Card with a contemporary, youthful, sound track. The kind of music I have often associated with ads for Mitsubishi cars.

I usually try to read during commercials, but these held my attention.
