Doug, for what it's worth, my dad just received his first check for gas and ROY (ROY meaning royalty?) last week from a well drilled in north central La. on land that he was found to be a long lost relative on, he was one of 30 to inherit the land. The check was for a little over $350.00 and divided into 2 parts, both being about equal. CHK drilled it, and I'm going to call today to get the details. He got a kick out of it, not that he needs the income but what the heck it's kind of neat.
