Copper Hill Corporation: Drilling On North Powderhorn
Lake Intersects 80 Feet Of Stratiform/Stratibound
Polymetallic Base Metal Sulphides Hosted In Roberts Arm
Group

ST. JOHN'S NEWFOUNDLAND--Copper Hill is pleased to announce that
diamond drilling has commenced at its North Powderhorn Lake
property situated in the Central Mineral Belt of Newfoundland, 40
km south of Springdale and 40 km west of the Central Newfoundland
community of Grand Falls-Windsor, adjacent to the Trans-Canada
Highway.

The initial borehole, PN-99-01 was collared near a surface outcrop
yielding 4.22% Zn (see Press Release 99-06, October 15, 1999;
assays from grab samples ran up to 9.20% Zn; 2.14% Cu; 2.54 g/t Au
and 62.7 g/t Ag. PN-99-01 intersected 80 feet of banded, base
metal-rich sulphides including sphalerite, pyrite, pyrrhotite and
chalcopyrite. The sulphides are dominantly stratiform/stratibound
and hosted by variably siliceous sediments/exhalites/blue-quartz
eye crystal tuffs similar to those observed in outcrops and
boulders dispersed throughout the property. These country rocks
are believed to be time equivalents of the Roberts Arm formation
which hosted the Buchan's VMS deposits (17.8 million tonnes
averaging 14.88% Zn, 7.7% Pb, 1.3% Cu, 3.7 opt Ag and 0.045 opt
Au).

Banding/bedding cross the vertically drilled core axis at high
angles suggesting a shallow-dipping, subhorizontal fabric.

The core is presently being logged, split by diamond saw, sampled
and will be submitted for multielement analysis. Sulphide and/or
metal zonation and loci of high Au-Ag concentrations will receive
added attention during logging. It is Copper Hill's intention to
make representative sections of the core available for viewing at
the C.I.M./APEGN Conference which will be held November 4-7, 1999
at the Delta St. John's Conference Centre in St. John's,
Newfoundland.

Copper Hill which trades on the CDN holds a number of mineral
exploration projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. For further
information, please call 709-739-4780; fax: 709-739-4785, or visit
our web site home page at copperhillcorp.com to view project
location maps and other data.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,

Earl R. Benson, President.
