Next number in sequence. "Simple"? I thought of it MORE than four days until the correct answer finally stroke me. I think you should have given at least the clue that everything is in the tenth base, to stop some attempts in this field... BTW Can you prove that EVERY sequence following this RECURRENTIAL (hint !) rule will at some moment become the given sequence, after which will repeat this sequence? (i.e. starting with, say, 1999, after 12 steps you get: Nb. 4 16 37 58 89 145 42 Nb. 4 16 etc) Or, in some cases become 1 1 1 1 1 etc... (of course, Nb. is the 'next number in the sequence') Check your private messages, Cristian
