I agree that buying stocks listed on Canadian exchanges only through a US broker that trades through a Canadian broker/market maker is a pain and is costly. That is why I moved my accounts to what was Greenline and is now TD Waterhouse. They trade on the Canadian Exchanges directly and offer very economical online service for stocks traded on US exchanges. The VSE and ASE may not be great but I find them to be far better than the OTC BB.
