WOw! HDC, thanks for the Gartner report. I can't possiby explain the 100% delta between Dataquest and IDC. But a 100% delta on a 3-4 year projection isn't that bad. I am astounded by the SAN versus NAS growth projection differences. It would be helpful to know their definitions of these two markets. Many foresee NAS as the preferred method of attaching storage to SAN. SAN is the method of managing the storage resource. NAS is the method of optimizing the reliability and speed of the storage resource being managed by SAN. I wonder outloud if this scenario is a factor in the growth projections. Their report raises more questions than answers, but what's new?
