Steven, Re DRAM vs Flash-- But, I thought one of the advantages of dram over flash is its speed (part of the statement you quote). Are you suggesting that flash might compete with dram on speed, if proper research dollars were supplied? The speed difference right now seems insurmountable, with DRDRAM coming on at 1.6-3.2 Gbps. (PS--I don't think the cost issue is critically important; if it adds function people will buy it, and manufacturers will ramp production to optimize unit costs). Best, JS
