Nancy, I agree that Badkarma is combative in his posts and has a very negative view of Christianity. I am beginning to get the picture that, an event, or series of events, turned him away from Christ in anger. I can understand how this can happen. The denominational churches did that very same thing to me. Each denomination has its own, humanly formed, ideas of how Christianity should operate. They either ignore, or misinterpret, the words and deeds of Jesus to suit their own, quite often politically or financially motivated, agendas. I have no problem with the members of the denomination who have, probably, grown up in those churches, and fear to depart from old customs and mores. I for one, after attending many denominations in search of the words of Christ, now detest the denominational concept. Perhaps, something similar happened to him and, he is not aware of the new non-denominational approach that deals with those words and deeds of Christ without allowing human frailties to call the shots. Ultimately there may be hope for him, but he will have to want it before any change can be made. I do pray that he continues to search.
