Steve, The question is: "Did Intel let the nose of the camel into the tent" when they licenced the chipset to via and then via used it in unintended ways, not specifically permitted, nor specifically forbidden?
Ask about what happens when you let the nose of the camel into the tent......well it is then impossible to keep the whole camel out of your tent. So That may be why this will take a few hindred lawyer years to settle.
