I suppose you are right. Whoever profited along with these gentlemen would be a more likely avenue of interrogation - certainly if reparations were the topic of the visit. In this case their deaths would serve a dual purpose. Both as vendetta and as an example to those that might need persuading that the profits of a previous illicit venture be returned to set the records straight.

I think we can rule out the SEC. This is not their style at all.
