Nick: NN has been closing at the high for past 3 days.The trading pattern and Board volume points to some buying by those close to the Inside track. It is quite unusual for such a large +ve momentum pop to occur just prior earnings w/o some reason. If earnings have been met, the Arbitrageur and MM will push so that the average of NN share price meets the target of $24. To achieve that, NN should be $27-28 by 15Nov which is possible if the Earnings are good. Like you, I too see that potential but milking this Cow is not very predictable.
