I know of three similar hits in Canada over penny mining stocks. None ever got solved. The question is what kind of person would do this or have access to someone willing to do it. I presume it would cost a lot to hire it out - so it was not the guy that was down to his last few bucks. A wealthier person would not want the publicity or association with underworld types and would write off his losses. An insider who got ripped off or pushed out of a deal and was seething is the culprit.

#1 you can stroke the lawyers and the doctors from the suspect list.

#2 you can stroke out the guy who lost his pick-up truck, he does not have the ways or the means to get away with it.

#3 focus on the group laying to rest the dearly departed who were close to the action but not the cash.

It just crossed my mind that HITTSGALORE would be a perfect name for a boutique contract killing outfit.
