All the companies mentioned don't need a license b/c they're using chips from companies who've already licensed. TI was awarded the ANSI/ETSI DMT standard and if you're a chip vendor and want to be compliant you have to pony-up. Obviously, they pass the costs on to those who buy their chips. My point exactly. I can assure you with 100% certainty that ECI uses the chipset of one the vendors on your list. Clearly you don't trust my information so I suggest you contact someone you do trust. Yes, I don't trust your information of this issue. Perhaps you are simply mistaken, or misinformed. Perhaps the TI/ECI has nothing at all to do with DSL. I'm tired of your condescending attitude. Someone disagrees with you so they are condescending? I'll let the thread decide who has been condescending. Gary
