Maruti sales jump 24% in Oct despite stir by truckers marutiudyog.com daewoomtrs.com CONTINUING their buoyant trends, Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) and Daewoo Motors have posted sharp increase in car sales in October. MUL has posted an over 24 per cent jump in car sales in October against the same period in '98. According to an MUL statement, it sold 28,179 units in October against 22,797 units during the comparable period the previous year. This is despite a week-long transporters strike which affected the despatch of vehicles to various locations, according to the statement. (11/02/99-ET)
