When I was in flight training, I looked back fondly at those happy days in boot camp when I got to sleep more than 45 minutes at a time... I thought it was insane to take guys learning how to fly, and have them stand inspection every hour, then hit the flight line at 6AM. That is until I got to the delta, and there was a different bunch of guys waking me every hour just for the fun of it, but they did it with mortars... turns out the training was just right...
